A few days ago I visited one of my old virtual stomping grounds, Clickin’ Moms. It’s an online community of women photographers (mostly moms) that I have been a member of for several years. They offer online workshops and a forum, among other things. I was going to post a general post about my project and ask for anyone who was interested or knew of anyone who was a good fit to contact me. The first post I read was from Erika Roa, who posted about her photography project, Sham of the Perfect, that was recently featured on The Huffington Post. Erika and two other participants in a The Define School workshop came up with the idea to show life and motherhood how it truly is, and they have added 12 other regular contributors. Long story short, I immediately sent her a private message congratulating her on her project and to ask if she would be interested in being interviewed for the book. She promptly wrote back and said that not only would she be interested, but that she was sure the two other co-admins and the twelve other regular contributors would be willing to participate as well! Awesome! After reading all of the contributor bios on their website, I look forward to visiting with all 15 of these inspiring women!
